ATI Coordinators for Rural-Based Organizations Meet for 2013 Activities

SAN MATEO, Rizal -- The Agricultural Training Institute (ATI), extension and training arm  of the Department of Agriculture (DA) recently held the National Planning Workshop of 4-H  Coordinators cum Rural-Based Organization (RBO) Consultative Meeting. 
This meeting gathered the 44 selected RBOs members such as the National Presidents and  Officers of the 4-H Club; Rural Improvement Club (RIC); Pambansang Mannalon, Mag-uuma, Magbabaul, Magsasaka ng Pilipinas (P4MP); Magsasaka-Siyentista (MS); ATI and RBO focal persons and coordinators in all regional levels.
This program is being implemented in coordination with the DA-Regional Field Offices, local government units and the non-government offices with strong partnership and complementation from the RBOs at the provincial and regional levels.
The meeting specifically centered on planning the upcoming national conventions of the different RBO groups such as the 4-H Club including the Volunteer Leaders' Association of the Philippines (VLAP) and the International Farm Youth Exchange (IFYE), P4MP and RIC.
Likewise, the group reviewed and assessed the conduct of last year's national conventions discussed the 2013 plans and directions for the RBOs. The agreement on complementation schemes and counterparts between ATI, DA and host regions were conscientiously agreed upon.
The three-day activity was held last February 19 to 21, 2013 at Ciudad Christhia Resort in this province. (with reports from Alicia Rose D. Nebraja)
