ATI Reviews 2012 Performance of the Rural Based Organizations

SOLANO, Nueva Vizcaya--- The Agricultural Training Institute (ATI), the extension arm of the Department of Agriculture (DA), recently conducted the Annual Assessment and Review of the Rural Based Organizations to look back and assess the effectiveness and efficiency deliverance of this group. 

RBOs being assisted by the DA-ATI are the Rural Improvement Club (RIC), Magsasaka Siyentista or Farmer Scientists Associations, Volunteer Leaders Association of the Philippines (VLAP), Pambansang Mannalon, Mag-uuma, Magbabaul, Magsasaka ng Pilipinas (P4MP) and the Indigenous Peoples (IPs).
 
The activity serves as a venue for the Rural Based Organizations (RBOs) Focal Persons to discuss various concerns relative to RBO implementation. The Coordinators from the national and regions presented their consolidated accomplishment reports for 2012. Also, the participants delivered some issues, concerns and recommendations to improve their organization`s future implementations; identified strategies to respond to the issues and concerns; recommended best schemes and strategies on how to further improved the implementation of the program; profiled project recipients.
 

During the workshop, the participants developed and proposed future programs and actions. As part of the program, due recognition on partner regions in the conduct of the RBO National Trainings and Events was applauded and honored. One of the highlights of the activity is a visit to established agri-based projects in a nearby town.
