YFFTPJ Batch 2017 Prepares to Leave for Japan
This year’s 18 trainees are now about to leave the Philippines for an 11-month exchange program in Japan. After having completed their 75-day Pre-Departure Orientation Course (PDOC) the trainees, who are now graduates, were “sent off” through a celebration and graduation ceremony they shared with their parents and loved ones, as well as representatives of organizations that worked together to make the YFFTPJ possible.
Present in the ceremony were: Ariel Cayanan, Undersecretary for Operations at the Department of Agriculture; Hon. Koji Kaneda, the local coordinator for the Japan Agricultural Exchange Council (JAEC); Atty. Wednesday Patdu, representative from the office of Senator Cynthia Villar; ATI OIC, Director Luz Taposok and Deputy Director Alfredo Aton; Chief of the Parnerships and Accreditation Division Engr. Renato Dela Cruz, Assistant Chief of the PAD Elsa Parot.
This year’s batch will leave for Japan on April 12, 2017 and are set to return to the Philippines by February 2018. The graduation and closing ceremony was held last April 10, 2017, at the Rural Development and Education Center (RDEC) at ATI Compound in this city.
