ATI-USM Partnership in Extension Endures

The Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) recently renewed its partnership with the University of Southern Mindanao (USM) for agricultural extension works in Region XII. ATI and USM officials, led respectively by OIC Director Luz Taposok and President Francisco Gil Garcia, signed a Memorandum of Agreement last May 18, 2017 for the former’s continued and free use of the 3.19-hectare land in the USM campus for its satellite office and training facilities.

ATI Hosts 23rd AWGATE Meeting in Tagaytay

The Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) of the Philippines hosted the 23rd meeting of the ASEAN Sectoral Working Group on Agricultural Training and Extension (AWGATE). The activity was held last June 14 to 15, 2016 in Tagaytay City.

ATI Boosts Extension Programs for the Next Six years

Accreditation of Private Organic Agriculture Extension Service Providers (OA ESPs)

Pursuant to the National Organic Agriculture Act of 2010 or the Republic Act no. 10068, the ATI has been mandated to accredit private extension service providers (ESPs) for Organic Agriculture (OA).

Similar to the accreditation of private ESPs, Administrative Order no 11 has been issued last February 29, 2012 to cover the accreditation of ESPs specializing on OA, with the following objectives:

  1. To hasten and improve OA public-private partnership on extension services to the Department of Agriculture's stakeholders;
