JAECAAP Sets New Organizational Directions

CEBU CITY — The 7th Japan Agricultural Exchange Council Alumni Association of the Philippines (JAECAAP) National Convention served as a way to strengthen support among its members as they laid out new plans for the years to come. The convention was spearheaded by the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) as one of the activities supported by the Institute for rural-based organizations.

DILIMAN, Quezon City – Eight months after Typhoon Yolanda hit the Philippines and caused major damage to the provinces of Samar and Leyte, humanitarian aid to the victims are still abundantly coming in from the different organizations. However, the focus now is giving aid that will have a more sustainable effect that will benefit the victims for a longer period of time.

Regional 4-H Camp in Zamboanga del Norte

ROXAS, Zamboanga del Norte -- With the theme “Youth empowerment for food sufficiency and sustainability,” the gathering of approximately 200 4-H Club members paved way in bringing out the talents and skills possessed by each of the participants. They have shared their expertise emphasizing on their roles as youth in the achievement of food sustainability through the different contests held in the three-day activity. The Institute likewise gave them the experience of what real agriculture and actual camping is by having the venue located in a remote barangay near the mountains.
