Flor’s Garden Marks as 10th Learning Site for Organic Agriculture
Antipolo City, Rizal - “There’s a bright side in farming and we’re part of it. Thank you for being a farmer!,” imparted by Atty. Rhaegee Tamaǹa, Chief of Staff of Senator Cynthia Villar, during the launching of Flor’s Garden and Nature Haven, Inc. and Ed Tarriela Learning Center and Farm, Inc. on February 15, 2017 in this city.
The Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) CaLaBaRZon launched Flor’s Garden and Nature Haven Inc. and Ed Tarriela Learning Center & Farm, Inc. as its newest Learning Site for Organic Agriculture (OA). “Sa bawat learning site ng ATI, there’s something unique in them. Sa pag-alis ninyo sa mga ito, meron kayong matututunan,” emphasized by Training Center Superintendent II Marites P. Cosico on her opening message. Also present during the event were Provincial Agriculturist Dr. Bonita, City Agriculturist Cleotildo de Asis and representatives from the Agricultural Project Coordinating Officer. Partnership and Accreditation Section Chief Sherylou C. Alfaro discussed the overview of the ATI learning sites and other extension modalities. Afterwards, signing of the Memorandum of Understanding, unveiling of the established learning site and a guided farm tour highlighted the ceremony.
Ms. Flor Gozon – Tarriela is the farm owner/cooperator of Flor’s Garden located in Brgy. San Jose, Antipolo City, Rizal. Flor’s Garden is the 33rd learning site of ATI CaLaBaRZon and also a Department of Tourism (DOT) accredited farm site.
