ATI, TESDA and DOT: Up for Intervention
Maragondon, Cavite – To further accelerate the number of established farm schools nationwide, The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) orients on implementing guidelines on provision of special technical assistance for program on Accelerating Farm School Establishment (PAFSE) to farmers and fisherfolks. The guidelines will be implemented in coordination with the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) and the Department of Tourism (DOT).
TESDA representatives namely Luisita S. Dela Cruz, Regional Director (IVA) and Imelda B. Taganas, Executive Director (QSO) graced the orientation. TESDA Provincial Directors Rolando V. Dela Torre (Cavite) and Ava Heidi V. Dela Torre (OIC-Quezon) were also in attendance. Also, Mariel Celeste C. Dayanghirang, Training Center Superintendent I, and Sherylou C. Alfaro, Senior Agriculturist, both from ATI IV-A, participated in the activity. Private sectors and some ATI IVA LS, SPAs and ESPs including Cortijo de Palsabangon Farm, Park and Restaurant, Morningside Farm, Ka Mulong’ Farm, Mang Viani’s Farm, GK Hiyas ng Maynila Integrated Farm and Ulango Farmers’ Organization were also invited.
The Regional Orientation on Farm Schools was held in Terra Verde Eco Farm Inc., Maragondon, Cavite on March 15, 2017. Terra Verde Eco Farm Inc. is a Regional ESP of ATI IVA.
