Bicol RAFEN Members Sign MOU

ATI-RTC 5 Center Vivien carable witnesses the signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) among RAFEN members.

NAGA City, Camarines Sur- The Agricultural Training Institute- Regional Training Center 5 (ATI-RTC 5) and its locals partners in extension collectively known as the  Regional Agriculture and Fisheries Extension Network (RAFEN) has signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to delineate and unify their respective roles and responsibilities.
These partners are: the Department of Agriculture (DA) and attached agencies; the Local Government Units (LGUs); State Universities and Colleges (SUCs); and national government and non-government agencies.

ATI-RTC 5 Center Director Vivien Carable led the signing along with the representatives of RAFEN members. The MOU is essential to avoid duplications and overlapping of extension programs. This also strengthens linkages and avoids wastage of public funds.

Aside from MOU signing, a lecture on Results-based Monitoring & Evaluation (RBME) was delivered. Dr. Romeo Santos of WorkLand M&E Institute, an extension service provider of ATI.
The event was held at Vila Caceres Hotel, Naga City last August 10, 2017.
