Blogging

For the second time, "accidentally"

In my blog "Life according to Jim", one of the life lessons I mentioned was 'be accident prone'. I was thinking when would it happen to me, until I read "Not Once But Twice" did I realize that it already did. Photography always fascinates me ever since I can remember. I always look for ways of improving what little I know of this craft.

Jim Paredes rocks with ATI Bloggers

I was excited then, who wouldn't be?

We were going to one of the amazing places in the Philippines -- Coron, Palawan -- and I would be tagging along my kids with me eventhough it would cost me that much, but I was so sure that it would be worth it. More so, we were able to get as resource speaker, one of my favorite artists -- Mr. Jim Paredes of the Apo Hiking Society!!!

Well, it's other than the topic that I got interested in -- it's all about blogging and photography.

Life according to Jim

Trainings for e-Extension Coordinators of ATI are always exciting because they are usually held in different venues. Recently, I have three (3) reasons to be excited: 1) it is held in Coron, Palawan, one of my wish-to-visit-place; 2) it is about blogging and photography, which is one of my most-requested-training since I became an e-Extension Coordinator; and 3) the most exciting is our resource person Mr. Jaime Ramon Paredes, the Jim Paredes of Apo Hiking Society, one of my favorite singing groups of all time.

Among the Things I Learned from Jim

DISCLAIMER: Sorry to disappoint Dad, but this is not about the things you taught me. (yeah! my father’s Jim……Agsawa!) *grin* Not that I am, in anyway, ungrateful for all the lessons I’ve learned from you.  It’s just that this is some kind of a different lesson (experience) for me. *wink!*

BLOG to blogs

It's a sure-fire tip for blogging. Take it from Jim Paredes. You can't go wrong with him when blogging (jimparedes.com or jimparedes.tumblr.com).

B - be sure you write and consistently write. You must have the passion to write. It's the passion that makes you write well.

L - link your blog with top blogs of your topic. Borrow credibility and do not forget to credit information source. This is also a way of expanding your reach.

Starting my Own Blog for a Change

I’ve wanted to write blogs for the longest time.

But somehow I did not get to start writing blogs because I lacked the inspiration to do it. I did not have a good reason to blog.  I have always believed that if you write blog for all the wrong reasons then for sure your entry will just feel bland and your readers will likely be confused on what you’re trying to convey to them.

I needed that motivation to start a blog.
