Best FITS Center Blog Series II: Sablayan, Occidental Mindoro

Currently the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) through the Information Services Division (ISD) is conducting a rapid monitoring of the more than 700 Farmers Information and Technology Services (FITS) Centers in the country. The monitoring activity aims to assess the current status of these FITS Centers as well as to determine if these FITS Centers are still active.

For every FITS center that I visit it gives me the chance to know the strategies that the FITS staff employs in order to be successful in helping those who are part of the agricultural sector.

I did not have a good reason to blog.  I have always believed that if you write blog for all the wrong reasons then for sure your entry will just feel bland and your readers will likely be confused on what you’re trying to convey to them.

I needed that motivation to start a blog.

A Doctor’s Legacy

I always associate Dr. Albert Jo of Rapha Valley, Don Salvador Benedicto, Negros Occidental with Safeguard soap. He is like the famous brand for a number of reasons. First, he wants to cleanse our body from toxins; second, he advocates for clean and healthy living; third, he serves as my conscience. Everytime I have the urge to drink softdrink or eat burger, his face and his voice seem to mock me and I have to stop the urge to eat and turn towards the more healthy alternatives.

Simple Wants of a Rebel Returnee

I attended an activity in Kauswagan, Lanao del Norte. This was graced by Hon. Secretary Proceso Alcala of the Department of Agriculture (DA) and Dir. Asterio Saliot of the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI). This activity was attended by MILF Rebel Returnees who have given up their arms to go back to their farms.
