Nakikiisa ang Agricultural Training Institute sa pagdiriwang ng Buwan ng Wikang Pambansa na may temang "Filipino: Wika ng Saliksik". Ang tema ay kumikilala sa wikang Filipino bilang midyum sa paglikha at pagpapalaganap ng pambansang karunungan at kaunlaran.
Sa pamamagitan ng Proklamasyon blg. 1041 na pinirmahan ni dating Pangulong Fidel V. Ramos noong Hulyo 15, 1997, itinalaga ang Agosto 1-31 bilang Buwan ng Wikang Pambansa. Ang pagdiriwang ay pinangungunahan ng Kagawaran ng Edukasyon at Komisyon sa Wikang Filipino (KMF).
