With the theme "Ugaliing magtanim, sapat na nutrisyon aanihin", the Agricultural Training Institute supports the celebration of Nutrition month 2018.
This is a yearly campaign held every July to create greater awareness among Filipinos on the importance of nutrition. Presidential Decree 491 or the Nutrition Act of the Philippines mandates the National Nutrition Council to lead and coordinate the nationwide campaign.
This year, the selected focus of the Nutrition month campaign is on food gardening. It aims to contribute to improved nutrition through improved food access by increasing the numbers of households, schools, and communities engaged in food gardens.
Extension services continue to evolve. With the challenges that extension workers and farmers face, the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) continues to explore various strategies to improve its efforts as the extension and training arm of the Department of Agriculture. In over 30 years, the ATI has celebrated various successes and learned from the lessons during hard times. Nonetheless, we are proud to be standing the test of time through the support of our partners and the clientele themselves. This is the ATI Today, more committed to bring you extension services beyond boundaries.
