ATI Supports Go Negosyo’s Back-to-Back Events

METRO MANILA – As a proactive partner of Go Negosyo in the conduct of various development programs, the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) recently took part in its back-to-back events highlighting agribusiness mentorship and empowerment.

Advocating agricultural entrepreneurship and innovation, ATI OIC-Director Luz Taposok together with ATI Center Directors and OICs Veronica Esguerra, Marites Cosico, Pat Andrew Barrientos, Eden Bautista, Carolyn Daquio, Vilma Patindol, Reynaldo Beduya, Maria Lydia Echavez, Abdul Daya-an and Samuel Calonzo, participated in the Go Negosyo’s Mentoring the Mentors Forum and 10th Filipina Entrepreneurship Summit (FES10). The Institute, through the Information Services Division, also distributed various IEC materials during the latter event.

The improved module for Go Negosyo mentorship programs namely: Kapatid Mentor ME (KMME) and Kapatid Agri Mentor ME (KAMMP), was launched during the mentorship forum, “Mentoring the Mentor: Offline and Online Opportunities and Insights in Retooling the Go Negosyo Mentors.” Furthermore, “big brother mentors” discussed learnings and best practices of successful mentorship programs of local and regional mentors and partner organizations.

Meanwhile, the 10th Filipina Entrepreneurship Summit, graced by President Rodrigo Duterte, acknowledged inspiring businesswomen and held plenary discussions with prominent female personalities. These include Senator Grace Poe, Anne Curtis and Georgina Wilson, among others.

With the theme, “Mentors’ Roadmap Towards the 3Ms: Mentorship, Money and Markets”, the said events ware intended to create opportunities for scaling up of micro and small entrepreneurs by means of mentoring workshops and national summit.

Go Negosyo’s back-to-back activities are intended to inform, inspire and connect stakeholders with micro, small and medium enterprises. There were conducted in partnership with the ASEAN Business Advisory Council and ASEAN Mentorship for Entrepreneurs Network (AMEN).

The Mentorship Forum was held last March 5, 2018 in Manila Polo Club, while the FES10 was held last March 6, 2018 in the World Trade Center.
