BUTUAN CITY, Agusan del Norte – The Agricultural Training Institute – Regional Training Center XIII produced 1,253 graduates in the e-Learning program for 2018. It was the third most number in all RTC’s nationwide. The graduation ceremony was held at the Prince Hotel Convention Grand Convention Hall in Butuan City last December 10, 2018.
TRENTO, Agusan del Sur– Proper implementation of management for insect pest and diseases of corn and cassava remains an integral part of production. It is a skill, which every Agricultural Extension Worker (AEW) should have for a more effective delivery of extension services.
ESPERANZA, Agusan del Sur – The Agricultural Training Institute – Regional Training Center (ATI-RTC) 13 facilitated the Rice Crop Manager (RCM) briefing with the assistance of the Municipal Agriculture Office staff of Esperanza on March 15, 2019.
AGUSAN DEL SUR – The Agricultural Training Institute-Regional Training Center (ATI-RTC) 13 recently distributed ten (10) meters of chicken nets to Tier II beneficiaries in Agusan del Sur. This served as an additional after-training support that were given to them under the Tier II program.

LOS ANGELES, Butuan City- The Agricultural Training Institute-Regional Training Center (ATI-RTC) 13 conducted a 3-day Training on Financial Literacy from March 13-15, 2019.
A total of thirty (30) participants comprising farmers from Cabadbaran City, Taguibo, Los Angeles and Sto. Niño, Butuan City participated in the said training.
LAS NIEVES, Agusan del Norte – In a tiny barangay of Maningalao situated a 20-hectare farm practicing integrated-diversified farming system which was recently added to the 80 certified learning sites in Caraga. RNJ Farm, owned by Ms. Maria Ruth N.
BUTUAN CITY – Aiming to equip the Barangay Animal Health Workers (BAHWs) on the monitoring and prevention of animal disease outbreaks that may affect food safety on meat, the Agricultural Training Institute – Regional Training Center (ATI-RTC) 13 held the Training on Animal Health Care and Management on March 13-15, 2019 at PhilRice – Agusan Experiment Station, RTRomualdez, Agusan del Norte.
GIGAQUIT, Surigao del Norte – To strengthen the promotion of using Rice Crop Manager (RCM) in Caraga Region, the Agricultural Training Institute – Regional Training Center (ATI-RTC) 13 held a one-day RCM Technical Briefing on March 13, 2019.
HINATUAN, Surigao del Sur – Eighty (80) Agricultural Extension Workers (AEWs) from different Local Government Units (LGUs) in Caraga attended the Briefing for the newly designated Organic Agriculture Program (OAP) focal persons on March 5-7, 2019 at Casa Isabelle, this municipality. LOS ANGELES, Butuan City- The Agricultural Training Institute-Regional Training Center (ATI-RTC) 13 once again conducted a Free Seminar on Bugtok Disease Eradication on March 11, 2019.
Stem and mat sanitation, deleafing, desuckering, early debudding and bagging. These are the control measures in preventing bugtok disease in banana.

BUTUAN CITY- In celebration of the International Women’s Month, the Regional Development Council-Regional Gender and Development Committee (RDC-RGADC) hosted a “Women Summit on March 8, 2019. With a theme ‘Make Change Work for Women’.
LORETO, Province of Dinagat Islands (PDI) – Thanks to the “Training on Organic Vegetable Production,” farmers here are iron-willed to grow their own vegetable garden the organic way. The training took place in Caraga’s newest island-province last March 6-8, 2019 through the funding support of the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI).
BUTUAN CITY –The Agricultural Training Institute – Regional Training Center (ATI-RTC) 13 will launch three (3) School on-the-Air programs in the three Provinces of Caraga region in April 2019.
It aimed to intensify the promotion of different farm commodities through the use of radio as a communication medium.

LAGUNA, Philippines – The Agricultural Training Institute-RTC 13 was recognized during the 25th year anniversary of the Farmer Scientists Training Program (FSTP) on February 27, 2019 at the Agricultural Systems Institute, CAFS, UPLB, Laguna.
With its Theme, “Using Science & Technology to Empower Farmers as Heroes of the Land”.
LOS ANGELES, Butuan City- The Agricultural Training Institute- Regional Training Center (ATI-RTC) 13 conducted a one-day stakeholders’ consultation on February 26, 2018.
This was participated by 60 participants comprising Provincial and Municipal Corn and Cassava Focal persons, farmers and personnel from the Department of Agriculture (DA) - Caraga.
BUTUAN CITY- The Agricultural Training Institute-Regional Training Center (ATI-RTC) 13 participated in the 1st Semester meeting that was conducted by the Department of Agriculture- Regional Field Office (DA-RFO) 13.
This was represented by Ms. Ginalyn Arbutante, Information Officer II of ATI-Caraga.

Extension services continue to evolve. With the challenges that extension workers and farmers face, the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) continues to explore various strategies to improve its efforts as the extension and training arm of the Department of Agriculture. In over 30 years, the ATI has celebrated various successes and learned from the lessons during hard times. Nonetheless, we are proud to be standing the test of time through the support of our partners and the clientele themselves.
