Pushing for environmental concern as one of its core flagship programs, 4H Club Cagayan Valley launched its first-ever Regional Synchronous 4H Tree Planting Activity, July 10, 2019.
CABAGAN, Isabela. It is an all-in-one package. The training on information, education and communication on climate change created awareness and equipped knowledge of extension workers on climate change and produced various pretested print materials.
CABAGAN, Isabela. Now aired in eight radio stations, the two schools-on-the air (SOA) are reaching out thousands of farmers all over the region.
CABAGAN, Isabela. After the training on rice crop manager advisory service for the Farmers Information and Technology Services (FITS) Centers, 26 FITS Centers who participated in the training were given global position system (GPS) device as support in implementing the activity.
CABAGAN, Isabela. The three batches of training on rice crop manager advisory service (RAS) were completed. It was conducted for the rice agricultural extension workers (AEWs) and staff of the Farmers Information and Technology Services (FITS) Centers.
SAN MATEO, Isabela. The third batch of the new breed of Agricultural Development Officers of the Community (AgriDOC) now on their second month of the season-long training.
SAN MATEO, Isabela. The Agricultural Training Institute- Regional Training Center 02 launched the season-long Training of Trainers on Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) for Vegetable Production on June 24, 2019 at ATI-RTC 02 San Mateo Center.
The said training is being participated by 30 agricultural extension workers and ATI staff and it will run until October 30, 2019.
SAN MATEO, Isabela. The learning hub for 4H in Region 02 finally stood right in the compound of the Agricultural Training Institute - Regional Training Center 02 (ATI-RTC 02) here in the municipality. It is now ready to accommodate activities of 4H members.

In response to the growing demand for a training on organic and integrated farming, the ATI-RTC 02 conducted a simultaneous Training on Organic Agriculture and on Rice-based Farming System (OA-RBIFS). It was held on June 24-29, 2019 at ATI-RTC 02 San Mateo Center, San Mateo, Isabela.
NAGTIPUNAN, Quirino. The Agricultural Training Institute - Regional Training Center 02 reached out the Indigenous People in Disimungal, Nagtipunan, Quirino. This is through the training on on Organic Agriculture Production conducted on June 12-14, 2019.
CALAYAN, Cagayan. Hon. Joseph Llopis, the incoming Mayor elect of Calayan, Cagayan graced the opening program of the technical briefing conducted for the farmers.
CALAYAN, Cagayan. To maximize the utilization of the FITS Center in Calayan, Cagayan, the Office of the Municipal Agriculturist conducted a capability enhancement for 170 farmer-participants. It was conducted on May 24, 2019 through a technical briefing on Model Farm Cluster and Package of Technology in Hybrid Rice Production.
A three-day training on Animal Health Care and Management for Barangay Animal Health Worker (BAHW) was conducted by the Agricultural Training Institute-Regional Training Center 02 to enhance the knowledge and skills of the frontliners in attending the needs of farm animals in their community.
Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) and Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (AIDS) affect millions of people around the world. In support of HIV/AIDS awareness the ATI RTC 02 conducted an awareness campaign for the 4H members and other participants of the 5th Regional Summer Youth Camp.
The regional summer youth camp promotes agriculture development and innovation among the youth and the local farmers.
The Agricultural Training Institute – Regional Training Center 02 (ATI-RTC 02) imparted the hydroponics technology through a free seminar during the 4H 5th Regional Youth Camp at San Mateo, North Central School, Salinungan West, San Mateo, Isabela last April 11, 2019.
Campers at the 5th Regional Youth Camp undergo a seminar on Values Formation towards Productivity. This seminar was participated by the 4H members from the province of Isabela, Quirino, Cagayan and Nueva Vizcaya.
The seminar aimed to enhance the attitude, knowledge and discipline of the 4H members and coordinators.
To enhance the capacity of agricultural extension workers / agricultural technologists, and farmers on farm management as a business and knowledge on how to manage climate change risks, a Training of Trainers on Climate Resilient Farm Business School (CRFBS) was conducted on March 11-21, 2019 at ATI – RTC 02, Malasin, Isabela.
Extension services continue to evolve. With the challenges that extension workers and farmers face, the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) continues to explore various strategies to improve its efforts as the extension and training arm of the Department of Agriculture. In over 30 years, the ATI has celebrated various successes and learned from the lessons during hard times. Nonetheless, we are proud to be standing the test of time through the support of our partners and the clientele themselves.
