Once again, the Agricultural Training Institute celebrated its founding anniversary. This activity is anchored on the creation of the Agricultural Training Institute in 1987 from the then Bureau of Agricultural Extension, which was mandated to train agricultural extension worker and its clienteles.
Before 2019 ends, ATI-RTC IX embrace this gift as an ultimate way to kick off the challenges that lie before us. This is the chance to finally receive a new home where new adventures will set sail and where brand new memories will be recorded.
HOYOHOY, Tangub City - Under Agriculture and Fisheries Modernization Act (AFMA) Section 89 of 1997 implementing rules and regulations provides the composition of National Extension System for Agriculture and Fisheries (NESAF) composed of the NGA’s, SUC’s, LGU’s and private sector as the ‘’Pillars of Extension.‘’
PAGADIAN CITY - Organic vegetable production has a potential role in fighting malnutrition. Studies show that vegetables are grown on low soil fertility absorb the low levels of plant nutrients due to deficiency on certain nutrients. Consumption of vegetables which are poorly grown cannot solve malnutrition, especially among children.
ZAMBOANGA PENINSULA-The Agricultural Training Institute-Regional Training Center IX in partnership with the PhilRice and Bureau of Plant Industry conducted a Basic Training Course on Inbred Rice Seed Production and Certification for Seed Growers which aim to develop prospective farmers to become accredited seed growers.
Extension services continue to evolve. With the challenges that extension workers and farmers face, the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) continues to explore various strategies to improve its efforts as the extension and training arm of the Department of Agriculture. In over 30 years, the ATI has celebrated various successes and learned from the lessons during hard times. Nonetheless, we are proud to be standing the test of time through the support of our partners and the clientele themselves. This is the ATI Today, more committed to bring you extension services beyond boundaries.
