TRECE MARTIRES CITY, Cavite - The Department of Agriculture through the Agricultural Training Institute and the Philippine Rice Research Institute in partnership with the International Rice Research Institute implemented a project entitled “Improving Technology Promotion and Delivery through Capability Enhancement of Next-Gen Rice Extension Professionals and Other Intermediaries” or IPAD.
To keenly select the region’s representatives for the national examination for the Young Filipino Farm Leaders Training Program in Japan (YFFLTPJ) Batch 2020, the Agricultural Training Institute-Regional Training Center XI (ATI XI) conducted a regional examination and screening of applicants on July 11, 2019.
CABAGAN, Isabela. It is an all-in-one package. The training on information, education and communication on climate change created awareness and equipped knowledge of extension workers on climate change and produced various pretested print materials.

CABAGAN, Isabela. After the training on rice crop manager advisory service for the Farmers Information and Technology Services (FITS) Centers, 26 FITS Centers who participated in the training were given global position system (GPS) device as support in implementing the activity.

Los Angeles, Butuan City – Coordinators of the on-going School-on-the-Air (SOA) on Swine Production in Agusan del Norte will meet on Wednesday, July 17, 2019 for the Mid-Assessment to be conducted by the Agricultural Training Institute -Regional Training Center 13.
SAN MATEO, Isabela. The third batch of the new breed of Agricultural Development Officers of the Community (AgriDOC) now on their second month of the season-long training.

Valencia City, Bukidnon--- To prepare the rubber farmers in the region and achieve quality rubber both for local and international markets, a Training on Rubber Tapping and Budding Propagation Techniques was mounted by the Career Development and Management Services Section (CDMS).

Featuring selected Magsasaka Siyentistas (MS) in the region, the Agricultural Training Institute-Central Luzon (ATI-CL) will be launching a book entitled ‘Banyuhay’ in November 2019.
‘Banyuhay,’ which stands for ‘Bagong Anyo ng Buhay,’ is a Filipino term coined to represent the innovations and progression of the MS in the region in giving new breed of life in agriculture.
Cagayan de Oro city, Misamis Oriental---In response to the commitment of the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) to Agriculture Secretary Emmanuel F. Piῆol to conduct training for the beneficiaries of the vermicomposting facility last March 2019, a 3-day Training on Vegetable Gardening and Vermicomposting was mounted on July 3-5, 2019 at Harborlights Hotel.
PLARIDEL, Quezon - Recognizing the need to empower and capacitate community-based organic producers to adhere to standards of organic agriculture and be locally and globally competitive in the market, the Agricultural Training Institute – Region IV-A conducted the Training on Internal Control System (ICS) for Smallholder Group on July 2 - 5, 2019 at Brgy. M.L. Tumagay in this municipality.
LEBAK, Sultan Kudarat - A farmers’ main goal is to produce food not only for his family but generally for the whole country. When talking about feeding through production of vegetable, one should be careful and handle it as best as possible to avoid contamination for it to be safe for consumption.
STA. CRUZ, Laguna - The Agricultural Training Institute Region IV-A conducted its first batch of “Training of Trainers on Vegetable Seed Production” last June 26-28, 2019 at FAES-Office of the Provincial Agriculturist in this municipality.
SAN MATEO, Isabela. The Agricultural Training Institute- Regional Training Center 02 launched the season-long Training of Trainers on Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) for Vegetable Production on June 24, 2019 at ATI-RTC 02 San Mateo Center.
The said training is being participated by 30 agricultural extension workers and ATI staff and it will run until October 30, 2019.
SAN MATEO, Isabela. The learning hub for 4H in Region 02 finally stood right in the compound of the Agricultural Training Institute - Regional Training Center 02 (ATI-RTC 02) here in the municipality. It is now ready to accommodate activities of 4H members.
LOS ANGELES, Butuan City – To evaluate the institute’s performance for the first semester of 2019, the Agricultural Training Institute – Regional Training Center (ATI-RTC) 13 conducts a 5-day Mid-Year Assessment and Management Operations Review which started last Monday, July 1, 2019. The activity is influenced by the mandates and directions of the institute.
Extension services continue to evolve. With the challenges that extension workers and farmers face, the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) continues to explore various strategies to improve its efforts as the extension and training arm of the Department of Agriculture. In over 30 years, the ATI has celebrated various successes and learned from the lessons during hard times. Nonetheless, we are proud to be standing the test of time through the support of our partners and the clientele themselves.
