BUTUAN CITY- The free seminar on care and maintenance of fruiting Oyster Mushroom will be held at ATI-Caraga based at Brgy. Los Angeles, Butuan City this coming September 30, 2019.
BUTUAN CITY- The Agricultural Training Institute-Regional Training Center (ATI-RTC) 13 participated in the Farm Family Forum in Butuan City. This was hosted by the Department of Agriculture Caraga Region under the Field Operations Division (FOD) which is headed by Division Chief Rebecca Atega.
TANDAG CITY- The Agricultural Training Institute-Regional Training Center (ATI-RTC) 13 conducted a post-assessment of its School-on-the-Air (SOA) Program on Cacao Production that is recently running from May-September this year.
In response to issues arising from the implementation of RA 11203 or the Rice Tarrification Law, rice industry stakeholders from the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) gathered on September 25-26, 2019 at Tabuk City, Kalinga to discuss measures to such concerns. The meeting was organized by the Agricultural Training Institute-CAR (ATI-CAR) in coordination with its partner government agencies and farmer groups.
BUTUAN CITY – As the lead agency for the Extension Services Program of the Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund (RCEF), the Agricultural Training Institute – Regional Training Center (ATI-RTC) 13 will conduct a consultation, briefing, and target-setting on October 1-2, 2019.

LUCENA CITY, Quezon - The Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) CaLaBaRZon started the series of Information Caravan on Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund (RCEF) through a Regional Info Caravan at Ouan’s The Farm Resort, Lucena City, Quezon on September 24, 2019 followed by a Provincial Info Caravan at Municipal Covered Court, Victoria, Laguna on September 25, 2019.

AMPAYON, Butuan City – Top scorers from the 11 participating Local Government Units (LGUs) of the School-on-the-Air (SOA) on Swine Production competed for the five (5) slots of awardees in the provincial level. The final face-to-face examination was administered by the Provincial SOA Coordinator/Program Anchor Raul C. Cornites last September 13, 2019 during the post-assessment.
AMPAYON, Butuan City – With the airing of the final episode, the School-on-the-Air (SOA) program on Swine Production is now setting its course towards the culmination activities which will be on the 16th of October.
CARAGA REGION – With its aim to assess the status of the Climate Information System (CIS)-enhanced Farmers Information Technology Services (FITS) and Magsasaka Siyentista (MS) in delivering climate information and technologies, the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) – Central Office conducted a monitoring activity on Sept. 2-4, 2019.
LOS ANGELES, Butuan City – After a thorough discussion with the provincial and municipal School on-the-Air (SOA) on Cassava Production Coordinators, all came into a consensus to push the program’s graduation this October 2019 during its post-assessment last Sept. 19, 2019.
The Agricultural Training Institute in Central Luzon (ATI-CL) enhanced five (5) Farmers Information and Technology Services (FITS) Centers in the region through the provision of ICT (information and communication technology) equipment on September 19, 2019 in City of Malolos, Bulacan.
Poultry farmers in Davao region were elated to receive very good quality free range chickens as their post training starter kit after completing the School On-the-Air (SOA) on Poultry Production conducted by the Agricultural Training Institute- XI.
PALO, Leyte - Although being in an agricultural country, the Filipino youth nowadays no longer find farming lucrative because they do not see much prospects in the future of agriculture. That is why engaging the youth in agriculture is one of the growing concerns in the country.
Tagbilaran City. The Urban Greens through Young Agri-preneurs Program (#ugyap) was successfully launched on September 23, 2019, at ATI 4H Hub, Cabawan District, this city.
More than 80 students, in-school 4-H Club officers, teachers, partner LGUs and private stakeholders participated in the activity.
Dumaguete City - Over 150 agri-enthusiasts and stakeholders participated in the first regional-initiated Agritalk of the Agricultural Training Institute -VII (ATI-7) at Robinson's Mall, this city on September 18, 2019.
SILANG, Cavite – The Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) CaLaBaRZon celebrated another innovative success as it launched the two (2) coffee table books, Agriculturally Awesome: A Regional Farm Tourism Travel Guide and saRiLing ATIn: 25 Promising Native Plants of the Philippines on September 19, 2019 at Teofely Nature Farms, Inc., one of the Extension Service Provider (ESP) of the Center.
Initao, Misamis Oriental---In response to the growing popularity and viability of mushroom among consumers and in the market today, a three-day training on mushroom transpired lately at the Buhian Diversified Farm in Initao, Misamis Oriental.
Poblacion, El Salvador City---Armed with rakes, long sticks and used sacks, the management and staff of the center recently trooped out to clean public parks, places, rivers, creeks, coastal areas and waterways.
Extension services continue to evolve. With the challenges that extension workers and farmers face, the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) continues to explore various strategies to improve its efforts as the extension and training arm of the Department of Agriculture. In over 30 years, the ATI has celebrated various successes and learned from the lessons during hard times.
