CARMEN, Surigao del Sur- The Agricultural Training Institute-Regional Training Center (ATI-RTC) 13 successfully conducted the Skills Training on Handicraft Making for Rural Improvement Club (RIC) members and Rural Women on July 22-24, 2019.
This was aimed at providing them the skills on handicraft and accessory making that will help them increase their income someday.
LA TRINIDAD, BENGUET. The DA’s Back to Basic Advocacy Seminar is back for its second year in Benguet. This year’s seminar is dubbed as the Malawakang Pagbibigay-kaalaman sa Agrikultura: Magsasakang may Alam, Laging Angat, Sagana sa Kita or the MAPAGMALASAKIT program. Responding to the invitation, 593 stakeholders dominated by farmers from Benguet attended the seminar. The stakeholders converged at the Benguet State University Gym, La Trinidad, Benguet on July 26, 2019 for the activity.
Metro Cagayan de Oro City---Aside from furthering the education among the youth in the country and serving as champions in the academe, 42 teachers from the Aquino Integrated School in Plaridel, Misamis Occidental took the initiative to partner with the Agricultural Training Institute- Regional Training Center X (ATI-RTC X) to engage in vegetable gardening.

Maydolong, Eastern Samar – There are many opportunities out there. With a simple training, one can venture into a small business to earn an income. A good example is food processing which prolongs the shelf-life of food products. It also increases the income of the family for its value-adding strategies.
Pili, Camarines Sur---Since its 3rd Party Audit on January 11, 2019 by TUV-SUD auditors which resulted with zero Non-conformities (NCs) and only 14 Opportunities for Improvement (OFIs), the ATI-RTC X through OIC-Center Director Maria Lydia A. Echavez finally received the ISO Certificate (mother certificate) in a Ceremonial Turnover led by ATI National Director Alfredo S.
ATI Compound, El Salvador City---Taking the initiative to bridge the digital divide and promote complementation between the highly IT-literate youth and today’s aging farmers, the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) in close coordination and partnership with Smart Communications, Inc. along with Probe Media Foundation, Inc. came up with the Digital Farmers Program (DFP).

Babatngon, Leyte - For years, the Agricultural Training Institute has been promoting natural ways of farming through Organic Agriculture. Recently, JADAM farming was introduced as a response to the inevitable inflation of production inputs. This technology introduces farmers to an ultra-low cost way of organic farming.
The Agricultural Training Institute- Central Luzon (ATI-CL) is set to feature selected certified Learning Sites for Agriculture (LSA) in its new book entitled ‘Vignette: A Travelogue of ATI-CL Learning Site for Agriculture’ this November 2019.
Extension services continue to evolve. With the challenges that extension workers and farmers face, the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) continues to explore various strategies to improve its efforts as the extension and training arm of the Department of Agriculture. In over 30 years, the ATI has celebrated various successes and learned from the lessons during hard times. Nonetheless, we are proud to be standing the test of time through the support of our partners and the clientele themselves.
