SUKAILANG, Surigao City – Gearing towards a harmonized extension system, the Agricultural Training Institute – Regional Training Center 13 continues to strengthen the pillars of extension being the major partnership mechanism.
LIPA CITY, Batangas - Maintaining animals’ health is a top concern for farmers who raise animals for livelihood. To keep the expenses low in animal healthcare is sought for a sustainable animal raising activity.
The Information Services Section (ISS) of the Agricultural Training Institute Region XI (ATI XI), in coordination with Philippine eLearning Society (PeLS) conducted an orientation about the e-Learning for Agriculture Program of the ATI to some 80 teachers and students of University of Mindanao, Matina Campus on August 13, 2019.
LOS ANGELES, Butuan City- The Agricultural Training Institute-Regional Training Center (ATI-RTC) 13 will be holding a Training of Trainers (TOT) on Climate Smart Farm Business School specifically on Swine Production on August 14-23, 2019.
This will be participated by twenty-five (25) Agricultural Extension Workers (AEWs) from the Local Government Units (LGUs) in Region 13.

BUTUAN CITY – The Department of Agriculture – Caraga Region through its Research Division successfully conducted the 6th Regional Technology Forum and Product Exhibition last August 8-9, 2019 at the Almont Inland Resort with the theme “Technologies from Agri-Fishery R&D as Catalyst for Sustainability and Competitiveness.”
LOS ANGELES, Butuan City – The Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) and CODESPA Foundation Philippines (CODESPA) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the implementation of the project entitled “Advancing Climate and Disaster Resilience Transformation Project” or ProACT.
KABACAN, Cotabato - The earth has been experiencing changes in its weather patterns and this is referred to as climate change. Many advocates has been stressing for the past few years about its effect and if not handled through mitigation and adaptation it will lead to dwindling down of economies and life as we know it.
A total of 30 Capizon corn farmers attended the 3-day training on Gender and Development cum Corn By-products processing held at Nestas Hilltop Hotel, Roxas City, Capiz.
LOS ANGELES, Butuan City- The Agricultural Training Institute-Regional Training Center (ATI-RTC) 13 currently conducts the Capability Enhancement Course for Agricultural Extension Workers (AEWs) and Assistance to Agricultural Crops Production NC III. The said course composed of four (4) batches of training to be conducted this year.
DEL MONTE, Talacogon, Agusan del Sur- The Regional Technical Working Committee (RTWC) of the Techno Gabay Program (TGP) conducted an evaluation in Del Monte Lowland Rainfed Research Station (DMLRRS) on August 7, 2019.
The Agricultural Training Institute-Regional Training Center X (ATI-RTC X) staged an e-Learning Program Briefing for the faculty and staff of Aquino Integrated School (AIS). It was attended by 22 faculty from the Elementary and High School department of the school.
SAN JUAN, Batangas - The livestock industry is a major source of income for rural households in our country. However, health-related concerns along with climate change effects and growing population face the sector, which also poses threats to our food security.
For the first semester of 2019, the shades of maroon took over the Center’s major programs. We are giving value to high value crops such as onion and garlic as they are seen as the next boosters of Philippines’ agricultural industry.

The Agricultural Training Institute-Regional Training Center XI conducted a field tour for the Farmers’ Information and Technology Services (FITS) Managers/Staff and Magsasaka Siyentistas (MS) enhanced under the Climate Information System (CIS) Project in Caraga region on July 30-August 2, 2019.
PUERTO PRINCESA CITY, Palawan- An intensive and thorough critiquing of the MalMar Irrigation Project Completion Report was conducted last July 17-20 and was participated by the Special Project Management Team (SPMT), Technical Working Group from ATI-Central Office, ATI-RTC XII, NIA, MAFAR-BARMM, formerly DAF-ARMM, and different LGUs involved in the project.
CATBALOGAN CITY, Samar- A hundreds of farmers and interested individuals flocked at the Provincial Gymnasium of Samar on June 21, 2019 to attend the Massive Info Campaign on Agricultural Production Technologies- Livestock Advocacy.
KIAMBA, Sarangani Province- A total of Php 3M worth of Goat Multiplier Farm was turned over to LGU-Kiamba last June 26, 2019 at the Municipal Nursery, Brgy. Tambilil, this Municipality.
Assistant Secretary for Livestock Enrico Garzon, Jr said that this project is in support to the National Livestock Program.
Extension services continue to evolve. With the challenges that extension workers and farmers face, the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) continues to explore various strategies to improve its efforts as the extension and training arm of the Department of Agriculture. In over 30 years, the ATI has celebrated various successes and learned from the lessons during hard times.
