ATI Compound, EL SALVADOR CITY ─ As the training and extension arm of the Department of Agriculture (DA), the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) through its centers is currently conducting series of Financial Literacy Training to the farmers of the 15 initially identified provinces in the country.

CALAMBA CITY, Laguna - A total of 30 representatives from the Rice Crop Manager (RCM) Farmers’ Information and Technology Services (FITS) Centers and OPA in the region completed the “Regional Training of Trainers on Rice Advisory Services” held from April 21 to 24, 2019 at Dona Jovita Garden Resort in this city.
ANTIPAS, North Cotabato- According to Climate Monitoring and Prediction of PAG-ASA, North Cotabato was observed to have experienced already the above-normal level of rainfall. This is one of the tangible evidences how unpredictable the climate is and how alarming it would be for the populace, most especially to the farmers, to deal with the unpredictable weather patterns in the area lately.
LOS ANGELES, Butuan City- the Agricultural Training Institute-Regional Training Center (ATI-RTC) 13 recently conducted the Rice Crop Manager Advisory Services (RAS) Training of Trainers (TOT) Batch 1 right at the Center’s Training Hall, Butuan City.
TANDAG CITY, Surigao del Sur – A total of forty-two (42) students from Surigao del Sur State University (SDSSU)- Tagbina Campus attended in the “Hands-on Training on Walang Aray sa AI: Artificial Insemination in Pigs”.
SANTA BARBARA, Pangasinan – A total of 30 agricultural extension workers (AEWs) from various municipalities of Pangasinan attended the Training on Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) for Rice (Batch 1) on April 8-12, 2019 at ATI-RTC I, Tebag East, Sta. Barbara, Pangasinan.
The said training aimed to capacitate the AEWs with necessary skills, attitudes and knowledge on GAP for Rice.
CABADBARAN CITY – Hailed as the over-all champion of the 2018 Regional Farm Youth Camp, the province of Agusan del Norte strongly supported by the Agricultural Training Institute – Regional Training Center (ATI-RTC) 13 will host this year’s camp on April 29 – May 1, 2019 with the theme “Bida 4H: Bringing Innovation and Development in Agriculture through 4H Club.”
BUENAVISTA, Guimaras - More than 100 participants across Region 6 feel the warm welcome from the province host, Guimaras, during the 4-H Regional Summer Youth Camp on April 15-17, 2019 at Supang National High School, Buenavista, Guimaras.
CABADBARAN CITY, Agusan del Norte – In its effort to speed up the promotion of Organic Agriculture, the Agricultural Training Institute – Regional Training Center (ATI-RTC) 13 conducted the Training on Organic Agriculture Production Technologies.
SAN MIGUEL, Iloilo - A total of 30 farmers from various barangays of San Miguel, Iloilo have committed to undergo the 10-day Training of Trainers on Climate Resiliency Farm Business School for Farmers of San Miguel, Iloilo last April 22, 2019 held at Goducate Training Center, Barangay Sto. Anghel, San Miguel, Iloilo.
BUTUAN CITY - Caraga region hosted the first training on Internal Control System (ICS) of Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) on April 1-5, 2019 at VCDU Prince Hotel, South Montilla Boulevard, Butuan City.
Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) and Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (AIDS) affect millions of people around the world. In support of HIV/AIDS awareness the ATI RTC 02 conducted an awareness campaign for the 4H members and other participants of the 5th Regional Summer Youth Camp.
The regional summer youth camp promotes agriculture development and innovation among the youth and the local farmers.
With the goal of enhancing the skills on technical writing, the Agricultural Training Institute-Regional Training Center I held a three-day Training on Technical Writing for ATI-RTC 1 Staff at Reotutar’s Garden and Resort, Villasis, Pangasinan last April 15-17, 2019.
LOS ANGELES, Butuan City –The impacts of Climate Change place increasing risks on agricultural production. Addressing this inevitable global problem has become a priority of key government institutions by formulating adaptable measures that practically suit the needs of the locality.
PAGADIAN CITY – Another first of ATI Nueve is the conduct of the Quarter Meeting that was successfully spearheaded by the Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Unit (PMEU). This activity aims to provide the latest update on the status of operations of the center based on plans and implementing guidelines.
TRENTO, Agusan del Sur – Seeing the importance of corn and cassava industries in the region, the Agricultural Training Institute-Regional Training Center (ATI-RTC) 13 capacitated Agricultural Extension Workers (AEWs) on the identification and management of pests and diseases of corn and cassava. This is in collaboration with the Regional Crop Protection Center (RCPC).
Extension services continue to evolve. With the challenges that extension workers and farmers face, the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) continues to explore various strategies to improve its efforts as the extension and training arm of the Department of Agriculture. In over 30 years, the ATI has celebrated various successes and learned from the lessons during hard times.
