TANTANGAN, South Cotabato- Mindanao, being home to majority of Muslims in the Philippines, has the potential to become the halal production hub of the country due to its huge potential markets here and abroad.
The Digital Farmers Program marks a new partnership between the Agricultural Training institute and Smart Communications Inc. was inked during the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between the two. Smart Communications was represented by Mr. Ramon Isberto, head of Public Affairs and Corporate Communications and Director Alfredo S. Aton of ATI.
Two books featuring selected farmers and farm products in Region 10 were launched on June 25, 2019 at Macapagal Hall, City Tourism Office, Sitio Timoga, Buru-un, Iligan City. This endeavor was made to encourage more people to go into farming and for consumers to patronize products from farms.
The Agricultural Training Institute-Regional Training Center XI conducted the first batch of regional rollout Training of Trainers (TOT) for Rice Crop Manager (RCM) Advisory Service on June 18-21, 2019 at ATI XI Training Complex.
The ultimate objective of this training is to capacitate regional RCM trainers to operate, use and train others on the upgraded RCM Advisory Service (RAS).
CALACA, Batangas- Some sixty-one (61) enrolled participants of Ala Eh! Maiskwelahan: Isang Radyo Eskwela sa Batangas joined the first batch of Meet and Greet.
“Meet and Greet” is one of the School-on-the-Air (SOA) innovations wherein the live broadcast is held in selected municipality. During the activity, the enrollees participated in a quiz bee dubbed as “Maistanong.”

Far too often, interventions focus on increasing crop and animal production without complementary marketing support.
DUMAGUETE CITY, Negros Oriental – The Agricultural Training Institute as the focal agency in extension service delivery is obliged to make sure that the delivery of quality extension services has been strategically carried out in the field.
NEGROS ORIENTAL – Forty-one farmers from the municipality of Sibulan, this province was briefed on the importance and functionality of the Rice Crop Manager (RCM) last June 21, 2019 at the Multi-Purpose Hall in Sibulan spearheaded by Ma. Gracia Soliva-Pungay, Media Production Specialist II of ATI-7 as the Project Officer.
BOHOL – The Climate Resilient Agriculture (CRA) of the Agricultural Training Institute is now on its phase 2 with the municipality of Tubigon this province as the next site with Tultogan, Calape as CRA-1.
BOHOL – On its third batch on the conduct of Technical Briefing on Hybrid Rice Production, the Agricultural Training Institute-Regional Training Center 7 (ATI-RTC 7) briefs 53 farmers from Barangay Santa Fe, municipality of Danao, this province last June 14, 2019.

Ladol, Alabel, Sarangani describe the opening of the Farmer-level Training on Farm Business School (FBS) on June 18, 2019. This is just after the residents grieved on their loss from the latest investment scam that spread in the area.
Featuring selected Magsasaka Siyentistas (MS) in the region, the Agricultural Training Institute-Central Luzon (ATI-CL) will be launching a book entitled “Banyuhay” in November 2019.
The book aims to document the existing interventions given by the center to the MS and the agricultural technologies developed by the farmer-scientist.

TANTANGAN, South Cotabato- To enlighten and provide a clear picture of the OJT Program and discuss some important guidelines for the training, ATI-RTC XII conducted an orientation for the OJTs coming from Mindanao State University (MSU) - General Santos and Maguindanao campus.
Basey, Samar – Busy as they are with farm work, Basey farmers took time to learn about financial literacy.
ATI RTC 8 conducted 2 batches of the Training on Financial Literacy to enhance participants knowledge and skills in financial literacy particularly on its importance in achieving a successful agri-enterprise. The training also emphasized the importance of certain Filipino values.
Finally! Farmers Organization for Rural Upliftment of Mindoro (FORUM) has finally completed the four (4) Phases of Internal Control System (ICS).
ICS is the part of a documented quality assurance system that allows an external certification body to inspect such individual or group whether they have a well-functioning system and followed the standard set by the certifying body.
ZAMBOANGA PENINSULA - To increase the number of farmers who are using Rice Crop Manager (RCM), the Agricultural Training Institute-Regional Training Center IX (ATI-RTC IX), as the lead agency in implementing extension services of the Department of Agriculture, provide access through enhancing FITS Center for RCM.
At last! After its 16 airings, School-on-Air (SOA) under Livestock Program themed “OinK na OinK sa Pagbababuyan” was culminated on June 20, 2019 at Manna Training Center, Tabon, Quezon, Palawan.
Extension services continue to evolve. With the challenges that extension workers and farmers face, the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) continues to explore various strategies to improve its efforts as the extension and training arm of the Department of Agriculture. In over 30 years, the ATI has celebrated various successes and learned from the lessons during hard times.
