LOS ANGELES, Butuan City – To evaluate the institute’s performance for the first semester of 2019, the Agricultural Training Institute – Regional Training Center (ATI-RTC) 13 conducts a 5-day Mid-Year Assessment and Management Operations Review which started last Monday, July 1, 2019. The activity is influenced by the mandates and directions of the institute.
LOS ANGELES, Butuan City- The Agricultural Training Institute-Regional Training Center (ATI-RTC) 13 recently conducts the first Management Operations Review for 2019. This is to monitor issues and concerns along with its possible solutions in harmonization with the Center’s objective.
The Agricultural Training Institute in Central Luzon (ATI-CL), in partnership with the Department of Agriculture - Regional Field Office III (DA-RFO III), is enhancing the access of agriculture and fishery extension services through DA-RFO's radio program entitled "MaNa: Maunlad na agrikultura sa nayon, Mag-Agri Tayo."
The Agricultural Training Institute-Central Luzon (ATI-CL), in partnership with Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU), strengthened farmers’ skills on rice machinery operations (RMO) through a training, with NC II assessment held in TAU, Camiling, Tarlac on June 3-5 and June 8, 2019.
SEN. NINOY AQUINO, Sultan Kudarat - Filipinos in general are coffee lovers. Region XII has been considered one of the top coffee producing region in the country. To upscale this high rate of production, the Agricultural Training Institute XII management saw it fit to conduct the training on Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) on Coffee for coffee farmers of Sen. Ninoy Aquino, Sultan Kudarat.
SAN MATEO, ISABELA. In response to the growing demand for a training on organic and integrated farming, the ATI-RTC 02 conducted a simultaneous Training on Organic Agriculture and on Rice-based Farming System (OA-RBIFS). It was held on June 24-29, 2019 at ATI-RTC 02 San Mateo Center, San Mateo, Isabela.
The livestock industry provides a big chunk of income and ensures food security for the people. Along with this is the widespread of animal disease to commercial scale as well as to small and medium-scale farmers which has a negative impact in the economy and food supply in the region.
The Agricultural Training Institute – Central Luzon (ATI-CL) produced 12 agriculture graduates through its ATI-4H Youth Empowerment through Sustainable (YES) program, a scholarship program for deserving youth in the region.
The Agricultural Training Institute in Central Luzon (ATI-CL) conducted a School-on-the-Air (SOA) on Organic Farming System dubbed as “OA ang Kita sa Organikong Pagsasaka!” which concluded on June 19, 2019 in La Vista Inland Resort, City of Balanga, Bataan.
MALATE, Metro Manila - To enhance knowledge on the proper management of procurement activities in the government sector, two staff from the Agricultural Training Institute – Regional Training Center (ATI-RTC) 13 participated in the three-day Seminar Workshop on the Government Procurement Act (RA 9184) Updates and its Revised Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) on June 26-28, 2019 a
El Salvador City, MISAMIS ORIENTAL – RAFEN representatives agree to undertake two collaborative projects for to start this second semester of 2019. The group came up with one project for the uplands and one for the lowlands, both to be implemented in the province of Misamis Oriental.
Extension services continue to evolve. With the challenges that extension workers and farmers face, the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) continues to explore various strategies to improve its efforts as the extension and training arm of the Department of Agriculture. In over 30 years, the ATI has celebrated various successes and learned from the lessons during hard times. Nonetheless, we are proud to be standing the test of time through the support of our partners and the clientele themselves.
