Piñol’s directive to make agriculture more accessible to people, the ATI-RTC 02 conducted a Free Seminar on Mushroom Production and Edible Gardening. LOS BAÑOS, Laguna- A total of 50 participants gathered for a two-day "Assessment and Operational Planning Workshop for Enhanced Farmers’ Information and Technology Service (FITS) Centers" held at the City of Springs Resort and Hotel, Los Baños, Laguna.

BANGA, Aklan - In line to the priority programs and redirection of the High Value Crops Development Program (HVCDP) in Region VI, Agricultural Training Institute-Regional Training Center VI (ATI-RTC) has commenced the conduct of the First Season-long Training of Trainers on Garlic and Onion Production, Postharvest and Marketing.

SAN MATEO, Isabela. As hybrid rice trainers and technology promoters, staff of the Agricultural Training Institute – Regional Training Center 02 (ATI-RTC 02), Bureau of Plant Industry – National Seed Quality Control Services (BPI-NSQCS) and PhilRice came together for a training on hybrid rice. It was conducted on February 26-28, 2019 at ATI-RTC 02, Malasin, San Mateo, Isabela.
SOLANO, Nueva Vizcaya. With the aim of increasing productivity and promoting hybrid rice, series of technical briefing were conducted at Quezon and Osmena, Solano, Bagabag and Dupax del Norte, Nueva Vizcaya. It was held on February 7, 8, 21 and 27, 2019 respectively.
Tagbilaran City – Fifty-Five (55) Farmers, Agriculture Extension Workers, and Agri enthusiasts attended the free seminar on Beekeeping held at the Island City Mall (ICM) Activity Center, Tagbilaran City on February 27, 2019.
To realize responsible, safe and efficient healthy food supply chain in the region, the Agricultural Training Institute-Regional Training Center 10 ( ATI-RTC 10) conducted a Training on Food Safety: Food Quality and Safety System.
The training was joined and participated by 38 Meat inspectors and Livestock Technicians from the different municipalities in region 10.
TRECE MARTIRES CITY, Cavite - True its commitment to unify Agriculture and Fisheries Extension (AFE) system in the region, ATI RTC IV-A conducted a series of provincial stakeholders consultations, attended by Municipal Agriculturists and representatives of the Office of the Municipal and City Agriculturist.
Volunteers of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) paid a visit to ATI RTC VI Office to inquire about the Center’s trainings and seminars especially on Organic Agriculture wherein they can participate.

STA. BARBARA, Pangasinan - For the second time around, the Agricultural Training Institute-Regional Training Center I (ATI-RTC I) served as a training ground to 28 Senior High School (SHS) students from Daniel Maramba National High School (DMNHS). The students have undergone a 60-hour work immersion program from January 18 to February 15, 2019.
School On-the-Air (SOA) in Davao region is back with the course on Goat Production launched earlier today, February 27, 2019, over DXGM Super Radyo 1125 Khz to keep the farmers updated with the latest technologies on goat raising.

Geared to ensure food and feeds self-sufficiency in corn and cassava as well as guaranteeing the crops produced are safe and of superior quality, the Department of Agriculture has been conducting National Corn and Cassava Achievers Awards.
Management and staff of the Agricultural Training Institute in Region XI finally met the newly appointed ATI National Director Alfredo S. Aton, MPS-DM during his visit at the Center on February 22.
To further promote apiculture development in the region, the Agricultural Training Institute XI conducted a one-day Stingless Beekeeping Seminar on February 22, 2019 at the training Center.
The seminar is aimed at raising awareness on the benefits of stingless beekeeping as sustainable economic source and viable help in the environmental preservation.
Extension services continue to evolve. With the challenges that extension workers and farmers face, the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) continues to explore various strategies to improve its efforts as the extension and training arm of the Department of Agriculture. In over 30 years, the ATI has celebrated various successes and learned from the lessons during hard times. Nonetheless, we are proud to be standing the test of time through the support of our partners and the clientele themselves.
