ATI Nueve establish two FITS center for 2019

One of the four modalities under the Techno Gabay Program is the Farmers Information and Technology Services (FITS) Center which serves as a one-stop service facility made accessible to a large number of farmers, entrepreneurs and other clients in a given area.

In the region, a total of 26 FITS centers were established. This year, two (2) FITS centers were launched and established in the municipality of Tungawan, Zamboanga Sibugay, and Maluso, Basilan Province. The newly launched FITS centers were supported by the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) with Information Communication Technology (ICT) equipment and Information education and Communication (IEC) materials. The FITS center launching was attended by the Agricultural Extension Workers, farmers, students, and dignitaries.

With the establishment of the FITS center, the local government of Tungawan and Maluso expressed their gratitude to the ATI of the program. They promised to take good care of all the materials turned over and would benefit the farmers, students, and other clientele.

The establishment FITS center in the municipality of Tungawan, ZSP, and Maluso, Basilan Province was successfully fulfilled last October 21-22, 2019 respectively.
