OA practitioners aims for commonality in module delivery

Baybay City, Leyte - ATI RTC 8 gets help from its partner organic agriculture practitioners in implementing the National Organic Agriculture Program in Eastern Visayas. To ensure its effective implementation, the Center conducted the Module Development Training for Organic Agriculture Production.

Participants were taught the basic concepts relative to the training process and module development. They enumerated and described the components of recommended module development plan and some writing tips. They also prepared a training module delivery plan and presented it.

Among the Resource Persons were: PD Ms.Loreta D. Banario of TESDA who discussed the TESDA Training Regulations on Organic Agriculture (Core Competencies); and Dr. Vilma M Patindol who discussed the Definitions of Concepts, Module Delivery Plan Preparation, Opener, Mid-sessions Activities, Enders, and Summary & Integration.

Mr. Dennis Amparo from Bontoc , Southern Leyte was grateful for the opportunity. He said, “Thank you so much, ATI-RTC8 the opportunity to attend this five-day Workshop on Module Development for Organic Agriculture. I’ve learned a lot from this training. It is good to see the eagerness from every participant to make a module that will be used in our farm school. It is overwhelming”.

As for MS. Rose Ann Jane Goles of Pitahay Farm, she quipped, “This is my first time to attend this kind of workshop and all the topics are very important to me. I’ve learned a lot from this training. I would like to extend my thanks to the ATI Family for the opportunity".

Participants from farm schools and other trainers realized the need to harmonize the topics on organic agriculture for them to have one common training module. Most of them taught technologies unique to each farm hence, they needed to come up with a common module for ease in the assessment.

Twenty (20) participants attended the Module Development Training for Organic Agriculture Production on April 1-5, 2019 at Hall B, ATI RTC 8, VSU, Baybay City, Leyte (with reports from GVGacutan).
