Farmers participants actively listen to the initial instructions during the opening program of the 10-day training on Climate Resiliency Farm Business School for Farmers in San Miguel, Iloilo.

SAN MIGUEL, Iloilo - A total of 30 farmers from various barangays of San Miguel, Iloilo have committed to undergo the 10-day Training of Trainers on Climate Resiliency Farm Business School for Farmers of San Miguel, Iloilo last April 22, 2019 held at Goducate Training Center, Barangay Sto. Anghel, San Miguel, Iloilo.

This training enables the farmer participants to discuss the impacts of climate change to agriculture, describe the climate change adaptation and technologies, demonstrate the conduct of participatory disaster risk assessment (PDRA), and discuss the basic concepts of farm business, marketing and management. Further, they are expected to describe Community-Managed Disaster Risk Reduction (CDMRR), its concepts and tools, assess natural hazards and risks impacting agricultural production after the training.

Ms. Mary Ann A. Ramos, Chief of Career and Development Management Services, graced the guests and participants through her welcome message during the opening program.

This training will run until May 1, 2019.
