DIRECTOR'S DIARY: SEPTEMBER 2019

Doc Eden wears a wide smile, together with Dir. Aton, as they award the certificate of completion to one of the farmer graduates of Farmers Field School on Sustainable Pig Farming (Baboyang Walang Amoy).

To welcome the -ber month, Doc Eden gave a warm welcome message for the opening program of Training on Good Agricultural Practices for Sustainable Mango Production for Guimaras Mango Growers at NMRDC/ Barangay Millan, Sibunag, Guimaras last September 3, 2019. In the following day, she proceeded to the Joint Graduation Ceremonies for the Farmer Livestock School on Goat Enterprise and the Farmer Livestock School on Sustainable Pig Farming at ATI-RTC VI Training Hall, ASU Compound, Banga, Aklan to give another inspiring message.

She then attended the launching of DA- MAPAGMALASAKIT (Malawakang Pagbibigay-kaalaman sa Agrikultura: Magsasakang may Alam, Laging Angat, Sagana sa Kita) Back to Basics: A Livestock Information Campaign together with the DA-Livestock Program and gave a message "Para tumaas ang kita ng mga magsasaka, kailangan ang kaalaman sa makabagong teknolohiya," during the opening program at Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental last September 12, 2019.

Five days after, she flew to Quezon City to take part in the Internal Management Review of the Enhanced Agriculture and Fisheries Extension Strategic Plan FY 2017-2022. She went back on the 19th of September to Aklan to give motivational message during the opening program of Training on Financial Literacy for Production Loan Easy Access (PLEA) Borrowers of Western Visayas. The following day, she presented the graduates to Director Alfredo S. Aton, National Director of ATI, during the Graduation Ceremonies for the School on the Air/ Farmer Field School on Sustainable Pig Farming at ATI-RTC VI Training Hall, ASU Compound, Banga, Aklan.

She also led the Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund (RCEF) Information Caravan Regional Rollout in Days Hotel, Iloilo City and later attended the scheduled visit of DA-Secretary William Dar last September 24, 2019. The next day, she took part during the Demystifying Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund (RCEF) for Regional Stakeholders in Western Visayas at ATI-RTC VI Training Hall, ASU Compound, Banga, Aklan with DA-RFO6 led by Engr. Remelyn Recoter; Representatives of PhilMech, PhilRice, TESDA, DAR, selected LGUs (OMA/OCA) and Learning Site Cooperators.

Lastly, she attended the Farmers’ Field Training Program: Graduation Ceremony and Distribution of Farm Inputs last September 26, 2019. It is implemented by FITS Batad in cooperation with CHED- Central Office at NIPSC Batad Campus, Social Hall Batad, Iloilo.
