The residents in Central Luzon (CL) showcased their backyard gardens through ATI-Central Luzon’s Post Your Garden Contest. This contest, which has 4 batches, is conducted in support to the Plant, Plant, Plant Program of the Department of Agriculture (DA) which is to promote growing vegetables in backyards to contribute to our country’s food security.
Amid the threat of COVID-19, the Agricultural Training Institute in Central Luzon (ATI-CL) came up with a series of online seminars entitled "A.H.O.N. sa Nayon or Advancing Households' Opportunities to Nutritious Food Production sa Nayon: #GoVeg20 Webinar Series."
The Agricultural Training Institute-Central Luzon (ATI-CL) distributed assorted vegetable seeds to Provincial FITS (Farmers’ Information and Technology Services) Centers in the region in support to the Plant, Plant, Plant Program of the Department of Agriculture (DA).
As the cases of COVID-19 in the country is continually rising which placed the whole Luzon into enhanced community quarantine, the Department of Agriculture (DA) headed by Sec. William Dar has vowed to increase the country’s food adequacy level during the said emergency situation. As an attached bureau, ATI is taking part in this endeavour to achieve food security in the country.
The Farmers’ Information and Technology Services (FITS) Center in Bongabon, Nueva Ecija encouraged their constituents to venture into e-Learning to make use of their idle time during the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ). In return, they would receive free vegetable seeds aside from the certificate of completion.
