Delfin Albano, Isabela. As the Local Government Unit of Delfin Albano, Isabela through the Office of the Municipal Agriculturist continued its extension services in the municipality, another extension project was successfully conducted in four barangays showcasing rice seed production that will improve yield of the marginal farmers.
This is because of the Extension Program for Agri-fisheries and National Development (ExPAND) of the Agricultural Training Institute. The OMA crafted a project proposal, packaged by the Isabela State University Cabagan Campus and submitted to the ATI-RTC 02 for funding.
A field day was conducted to showcase the crop stand of NSIC Rc 400, which the four cooperators said that the variety is resistant because despite the two typhoons that hit the province, it survived.
Field Day and graduation of the participants of the rice seed production for a better yield for marginal farmers of Delifin Albano under the ExPAND project was held on December 18, 2018 at Barangay Hall, Andarayan, Delfin Albano.
It was attended by staff representing the OIC Center Director together with the Isabela State University Cabagan Campus DETS Director and Staff, Office of the Municipal Agriculturist of Delfin Albano.
Participants will still meet next year for the harvest and postharvest operations of the techno demo.
