SAN MATEO, Isabela. The Agricultural Training Institute in Region 02 (ATI-RTC 02) conducted a mass graduation for the Regional Roll-out on “Enabling the AgRiDOC: A New Breed of Agricultural Development Officers of the Community and the School-on-the Air on Low-cost Swine Production and Upgrading of Native Chicken. This was conducted on October 24, 2018 at Livelihood Center, San Mateo, Isabela.
The affair was graced by Dr. Luz A. Taposok, Director of ATI as guest speaker. She said in her speech that it is the mandate of ATI to help every Filipino to become self-sufficient – having enough food and livelihood. “This has to be started in extending knowledge on new technologies in farming,” she further said. She is very happy to note that farmers continuously improve their knowledge to become more productive and to have enough food for their family. The participation of these farmers to the SOA is a manifestation of their interest to broaden their in farming.
Meanwhile, AgriDOC were recognized for their outstanding performance during the five-month long training. Top 5 and best in micro-teaching were given medals and plaques during the said mass graduation.
The top 5 SOA graduates per municipality were likewise recognized. These were based on the result of their quizzes and final examination and the number of text messages. There were 636 graduates from SOA and 27 AgriDOC.
The affair was likewise graced by the provincial agriculturist of Nueva Vizcaya, representatives from the office of the provincial agriculturist of Isabela, PhilRice, BDI-NSQCS, municipal agriculturists, and resource persons of the AgriDOC and SOA.
