ATI-02 as Top Awardee during the IS Achievers Award

DILIMAN, Quezon City. Out of the 13 awards given by the Information Services Division of the Agricultural Training Institute during the IS achievers award 2018, five of which was received by the ATI in Region 02.

The Center website was recognized as first place for having the highest number of pageviews with 50,090 as November 30, 2018. Social media accounts were also continuously being updated for the stakeholders to be informed and be aware of the programs, projects and activities of the Center.

In addition, the Center was also awarded first place in best local media presence. This is because of the weekly Ugnayang ATI Program aired over DWDA of the Department of Agriculture and DWPE Radyo Pilipinas, regular publication of articles in Luzon Inquirer, Pinoy Hotnews, Larga Vista, Balitang Expose, Filipino Mirror. The Center also partnered with local radio stations namely DWPE Radyo Pilipinas, DWDA, DWSI and other community radio stations like DWNS-UFM, DWRA and DWRE for the school-on-the-air program as well as Bombo Radyo and ABS-CBN Cagayan Valley for the documentation of significant events like mass graduation of season-long TOT corn, AgriDOC, SOA, and other training programs.

Another first place was given to ATI Region 02 on the generation of RCM recommendation. In partnership with the enhanced FITS Centers, 14,479 RCM recommendations were generated from January to November 2018.

On the other hand, the online course on Good Agricultural Practices for vegetable production developed by ATI Region 02 was given a milestone award for having the highest number of enrollees and graduates as of October 2018.

The Center was also the second place in Best in Techno Gabay Program implementation. Partnering with the Magsasaka Siyentista association in conducting the summit and exhibit; search for best FITS centers and MS; continuously enhancing FITS centers and MS; and facilitating the development, submission, approval and funding of project proposal of Magsasaka Siyentista amounting to 3.2 million pesos under ExPAND made the Center to the top.

The IS achievers award is a yearly recognition of the invaluable contributions of the network of training centers in enhancing the stakeholders’ access to information on agricultural and fishery in the Philippines. This is facilitated by the Information Services Division of the ATI Central Office.
