To make farming more attractive to younger generations, several approaches are being introduced, one of them is edible landscaping. Edible landscaping is simply producing your own food while keeping your surroundings aesthetically pleasing.
This year, as an innovation to the AgRiDOC training, the four groups of AgRiDOC participants established an edible garden in front of the training center. It is planted with different vegetables, flowers and herbs arranged in different designs. Some containers used in planting are those recyclable materials found within the Center's vicinity.
This edible landscape set-up is a show window to all guests and participants of the center including schools that benchmarks on how to establish an edible landscape garden.
