23 BARMM AgriDOC Trainees now AgriCrop Production NC III Passers

An AgriDOC Trainee operates a farm tractor with implement as part of the competency assessment for Agricultural Crops Production NC III

DAVAO CITY- Twenty-three (23) AgriDOC Trainess from the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) have successfully passed the competency assessment on Agricultural Crops Production NC III held at Wangan National Agricultural School, Calinan District, Davao City last November 30, 2019.

On an impression, AgriDOC trainee from Lanao del Sur Mr. Mohammed Faisal Maningcara said that the Competency Assessment on Agricultural Crops Production NC III has helped him, as an Agricultural Extension Worker, in learning about advance technologies in the field of agriculture. Although the training is not new for Mr. Maningcara, it helped him broadened his knowledge because he was able to perform actual and hands-on activities.

“I learned the proper methods and correct practices in terms of operating a farm tractor, using a mower for mechanical weeding and other farm-related practices. With these experiences, it can be a great help for me as an AEW. Now, I have a better understanding of the proper agricultural practices which I can share to the farmers in our Municipality”, he said in an interview.

Agricultural Crops Production NC III is a short course of the Technical Education Skills Development Authority (TESDA) that will train any agri-enthusiast in planting, growing and harvesting crops such as grains, vegetables and fruits. A trainee needs to pass some series of competencies, from basic, common and core, before acquiring the national certificate.

The competency assessment on ACP NC III was the last activity for the AgriDOC. Their graduation will be on December 13, 2019.
