ATI-RTC XII opens learning opportunity to On the Job Trainees

On-the-job-Trainees organize IEC materials in the center library.

TANTANGAN, SOUTH COTABATO - The ATI-RTC XII offered further learning experience to the K to 12 Immersion students and On-the-Job Trainees.
The trainees come from different schools in Region XII. One college student from Sultan Kudarat State University (SKSU) - SUNAS Campus is expected to finish 720 hours of work in the center; 14 senior high students from Koronadal National Comprehensive High School (KNCHS) to work for 80 hours; and 10 college students from the Sultan Kudarat State University - Lutayan Campus.
The students are assigned to different sections while also work around the institute. Additionally, they also get to immerse in extension work outside the office grounds through information caravans and trainings.
Year 12 student of the Technical-Vocational Livelihood Strand of KNCHS, Rho Ann R. Bendol, shares her ongoing experience and learnings from her time working at the ATI-RTC XII.
"We learned that in work, we essentially need time management and responsibility. We also learned to be committed to our work and task at hand here in the office," Bendol said.
OIC Admin Head, Imee T. Ardonia, CPA, hoped the students would be able to apply in the institute with what they learned in school.
"As most of our On-The-Job trainees are students of Agricultural Technology, I expect them to be able to apply what they have acquired in their academics to the office. They also are expected to be able to go beyond their assigned tasks," Ardonia said.
Ardonia also mentioned how the students had been hard at work.
"I have observed the students working early in the morning tending to the garden and plants outside. They are quick and attentive to other tasks given as well," Ardonia added.
Moreover, the Center Management is hopeful that the institute may help these students be ready to face the awaiting real world after graduation.
