Students creatively share thoughts on agriculture through Spoken Poetry

TANTANGAN, SOUTH COTABATO - Three Agriculture Students from different universities in Region XII poured their heart out in the Agri-Hugot Spoken Word Poetry Competition at 33rd Anniversary Celebration of the Agricultural Training Institute held at the ATI-RTC XII Session Hall, January 29, 2020. The competitors were expected to compose and deliver an original essay in line with the theme, “Vibrant Agriculture and Fisheries Extension Services Toward Masaganang Ani at Mataas na Kita.”

The contenders were given time to compose their pieces for their performance. After much deliberation from the judges namely, Ms Simona Dela Cruz, Mr Ben Maverick Marco and Ms Judy Gomez, one contestant rose to the top of the heap. Anna Mae K. Cuya from the Southeast Asian Institute of Technology – Tupi Campus bagged the first prize. On the other hand, contestants Dindo I. Camansa, Jr. from the Mindanao State University – General Santos City Campus and Aldrin R. Ponio from the Sultan Kudarat State University – Lutayan Campus bagged the second and third place, respectively.
