Teachers and students of Compostela Valley State College (CVSC), College of Agriculture Program in Compostela, Compostela Valley Province registered on the e-learning for Agriculture and Fisheries website after attending an orientation on the e-Extension Program of the Agricultural Training Institute.
The orientation held inside the academe on November 29, 2018 was conducted by the Information Services Section (ISS) of the training institute's counterpart in Region XI spearheaded by its chief Olivia D. Gatus .
Gatus discussed the background of the e-Extension program to the participants, emphasizing the operation of the e-Extension website.
She explained the benefits of accessing the online learning platform while highlighting the website's feature on e-Farming, e-Trading, especially e-Learning in which registered users can access and enroll to a vary of agriculture related courses for free.
“ With e-Learning, you can enroll to different courses and finish it in your own comfort, time and pace, most importantly, for free”, Gatus informed the pax.
The e-Learning which debuted on 2007, is a major component of the ATI's e-Extension Program for Agriculture and Fisheries. This platfom has been serving around 60,000 registered users and produced 39,000 graduates from its 58 courses.
Moreover, promotion of the program even more intensified in the school as ATI XI was invited to participate and present during their “1st Institutional Research Congress and Techno Exhibits: Promoting Research and Production Capabilities with Technological Knowledge” on December 10-11, 2018.
