The Information Services Section (ISS) of the Agricultural Training Institute Region XI (ATI XI), in coordination with Philippine eLearning Society (PeLS) conducted an orientation about the e-Learning for Agriculture Program of the ATI to some 80 teachers and students of University of Mindanao, Matina Campus on August 13, 2019.
The orientation was included in the line of topics of the one-day seminar entitled Interactive-Connected-Engaging (ICE) Talks organized by PeLs.
ICE Talks is a banner activity of the latter that aimed to promote the power of the advancing e-learning technology for academe, government, corporate, and non-profit institution’s instructive activities.
Ms. Olivia D. Gatus, Information Officer III/ISS Chief presented the background of the e-Extension program of the ATI, emphasizing on the importance and benefits of its e-Learning component to the teachers and student’s educational and research needs.
The e-Learning for Agriculture and Fisheries is a major component of the Philippine’s Department of Agriculture’s (DA) e-Extension Program with ATI as the lead implementing agency, in collaboration with other government agencies, state universities, and colleges and nongovernment organizations.
