Strengthening Ties and Partnership with CMU

TCS-II Angelito Y. Quirog stresses the important role of the youth in the agriculture sector and nation building.

Musuan, Bukidnon---Rising up to the challenge of harnessing the youth to become a potent force in the field of agriculture, the Agricultural Training Institute-Regional Training Center X (ATI-RTC X) in collaboration with Central Mindanao University (CMU) mounted a Career Guidance coupled with Team Building as a means to prepare the students in their chosen career path.

Training Center Superintendent-II Angelito Y. Quirog delivered his speech to around a thousand Aggies students, who flocked to the University Convention Center (UCC) of CMU in Musuan, Maramag, Bukidnon.

Lipa, Batangas City --- Just in time for the rolling out of a Style Guide to be conformed all throughout the different divisions of the institute down to the Regional Training Centers, the Information Services Division (ISD) mounted a week-long training-workshop dubbed “Beyond Design: Developing ATI’s Corporate Materials”.

A Style Guide (or Manual of Style) is a set of standards for the writing and design of documents to establish and further improve coherence of communication.

Training Course on GAP for Corn & Cassava Held

Upper Carmen, Cagayan de Oro City---A three-day Training Course on Good Agricultural Practice (GAP) for Corn and Cassava was recently held with Dr. Luz I. Guzman (pictured) of the Regional Crop Protection Center (RCPC) of DA-RFO X as one of the invited speakers.
 
The training intends to equip the participants with knowledge in providing safe and quality corn grits and cassava tubers/chips to consumers to avoid food poisoning and other food-borne illnesses.

 ATI-RTC X, EL SALVADOR CITY, MISAMIS ORIENTAL. – Kape Maramag, of Maramag, Bukidnon one of the Learning Sites of the ATI-RTC X, emerge as champion over other coffee processors in the country for Robusta Category, during the 1st Kape Filipino Green Coffee Quality Competition held recently in Cavite City. Another winner is the Inhandig Tribal Multi-Purpose Cooperative from Malaybalay City, Bukidnon for the Arabica Category.

Without your vision, you will never have your direction.” This is what Mr. Efren C. Macario emphasized in his lecture on Farm Business School (FBS). FBS is one of the topics for discussion in the on-going 10-day  trainers’ training on Climate Smart Farm Business School conducted by ATI-RTC X , from February 20 to March 1, 2017 at the Veranda, Casisang, Malaybalay City, Bukidnon.

Through the years, many of its assisted Magsasaka Siyentistas or farmer-scientists and Learning Site Operators who are mostly graduates of Farm Business School have already engaged into various enterprises. However, for them to really expand their market, they need be legally established.

 Despite the 10-day training duration, forty three (43) participants flocked to attend the Training on Climate Smart Farm Business School at Veranda, Casisang, Malaybalay City, Bukidnon. The training started on February 20, 2016 to March 1, 2017. The participants are a mixed of Agricultural Extension Workers and some from ATI Learning Sites in the Region.

Lacandula, a Rural Improvement Club (RIC) member of Guinsiliban, Camiguin Province, eagerly talked about when she presented her report during the 4-H and RBO Planning Workshop held in February 22-23, 2017 at the ATI-RTC X in El Salvador City, Misamis Oriental.

It was a night of triumph for ATI-RTC 10 as it bagged three (3) of the 10 awards handed out by the Information Services Division (ISD) during the 1st Knowledge Management (KM) Updates for 2017 held at Rural Development Education Center (RDEC), Agricultural Training Institute (ATI), Diliman, Quezon City. The awards received are: Highest number of e-Learning Graduates; Best Local Media Presence and Best Social Media Presence in Facebook during ATI’s 30th Anniversary. The three awards were based on the performance of the center in 2016.

Cagayan de Oro City---Fresh from celebrating the Institute’s 30th founding anniversary, the Agricultural Training Institute - Regional Training Center X (ATI-RTC X) held a two-day annual performance review and consultative Workshop. The event, which is the first for the year convened 121 participants coming from the different local offices and DA-attached agencies of the region. The event also intends to harmonize the Work and Financial Plan for 2017 while addressing the stakeholder's needs-assessment for 2018.
