Trece Martires City, Cavite - The Information Services Section (ISS) team of the Agricultural Training Institute in CaLaBaRZon has started the ground work for the two upcoming School-on-Air (SOA) for 2017. The SOA will focus on (1) corn production, targeted for Tagkawayan and Guinayangan, Quezon farmers, and (2) swine production for Rizal province swine raisers.
Bacoor, Cavite- The Agricultural Training Institute Region IV-A formed thirty (30) new driven and diverse FBS facilitators for the Calabarzon Region. The group was a mixture of Agricultural Extension Workers (AEWs), employees from the National Government Agencies, State Universities and Colleges and farm owners. Majority of the group were farm owners which added a lively and inspiring twist during the 10 – day training.
Pila, Laguna – In accordance with the Presidential Executive Order No. 84 signed by former President Joseph Estrada, March is observed as Rabies Awareness Month. The Office for Agricultural Services – Pila in coordination with the Office of the Provincial Veterinarian (OPV) – Laguna conducted the Information, Education and Communication (IEC) Campaign on Rabies in Pakil Elementary School and Kabulusan National High School Extension in Pakil, Laguna on March 15, 2017. Calamba City, Laguna- Rice Crop Manager or most commonly known as RCM is on version of 2.03. The Information, Communication, and Technology (ICT) tool has been upgraded and improved to Rice Crop Manager Advisory Service (RAS) last 2016.
Maragondon, Cavite – To further accelerate the number of established farm schools nationwide, The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) orients on implementing guidelines on provision of special technical assistance for program on Accelerating Farm School Establishment (PAFSE) to farmers and fisherfolks. The guidelines will be implemented in coordination with the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) and the Department of Tourism (DOT).
The Agricultural Training Institute Region IV-A conducted the Training on Integrated Diversified Organic Farming Systems (IDOFS) last March 13 – 16, 2017 at Ouan's The Farm Resort Lucena City. The activity was participated by 18 farmers and 2 Agricultural Extension Workers from the province of Quezon. It aims to enhance the knowledge and skills of the participants on organic agriculture as a sustainable farming system.

Bacoor City, Cavite – The Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) IV-A in partnership with Villar SIPAG (Social Institute for Poverty Alleviation and Governance) Foundation formally opened the Training of Facilitators on Farm Business School (FBS). The ten-day training aims to alleviate poverty by empowering agriculture through the efforts of different public and private sectors.
Victoria, Laguna – Yet another innovation, the Agricultural Training Institute Region IV-A led a kick-off celebration of World Water Day in partnership with the Local Government of Victoria, Laguna, DepEd and selected high schools in the municipality.
Calamba City, Laguna –The Farmers’ Information and Technology (FITS) Centers in the region will focus on beefing up the information dissemination on agri-fishery technologies in the region.
Silang, Cavite – In strengthening the ties towards a Regional Agricultural and Fishery Extension Network (RAFEN), Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) CaLaBaRZon and its partner member agencies converge for 2017 Regional Consultative Workshop and Quarterly RAFEN meeting. The activity was attended by 115guests and participants from the pillars of extension – the National Government Agencies (NGAs), State Universities and Colleges (SUCs), Local Government Units (LGUs) and Private Sectors.

Diliman, Quezon City – To further boost the Agriculture and Tourism industry in the country, the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) CaLaBaRZon produced the “Agriculturally Awesome: A Regional Farm Tourism Travel Guide” in partnership with DOT IV-A.
Kalayaan, Laguna – In collaboration with the Municipal Agriculture Office of Kalayaan, Laguna, the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) in CaLaBaRZon launched the “Training on Farm Business for Organic Practitioners of Kalayaan, Laguna” in Sitio Lambao, Brgy. San Antonio. The training aims to promote organic farming and enhance the marketing skills of the organic practitioners.
Trece Martires City, Cavite – To further enhance the presence of the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) CaLaBaRZon in social media, Mr. Jose Rey Alo, e-Learning Adviser, facilitated the mentoring program with the Information Services Section (ISS) team of ATI CaLaBaRZon.
